Indonesian Style Green Beans

This dish of Indonesian style Green Beans cooked with sprouts is so fast, easy and flavorful, it’s become a staple for week nights. The dish, called Tumis Buncis dan Tauge in Bahasa Indonesia is a favorite. The beans and sprouts aren’t cooked for very long so they taste incredibly fresh and still have a lot of crunch. Soy sauce and sesame oil are two simple ingredients that transform simple vegetables into delightful dishes and this dish is no different. Indonesian Style Green Beans

Ingredients

300 grams Beans, chopped into batons
2 medium Onions, sliced
1 clove Garlic, crushed
1 tbs Peanut oil
1 tsp Sesame oil
2 tbsp Water
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 cup Bean Sprouts, trimmed
Peanuts, crushed

Directions
In a pan, heat vegetable oil and sesame oil. Add onions, garlic and beans, stir and let it cook for 3-4 mins. Add 2 tbs water and 2 tbs soy sauce and cook for another 5-6 minutes till beans are cooked through. Add beansprouts and peanuts, stir and it’s ready to eat with steamed rice.
